I forget which airline. In the days when the cockpit door was open, I sat near where I could see the two (3) pilots. During their checking a switch cover fell off on the panel over the co-pilot’s head. He didn’t notice. I pointed that out to the flight attendant and she talked to the pilot. He fixed it. Once airborne and at cruise the pilot told the flight attendant to give me a free drink. I miss the old days when my ticket got me a ride on any airline to my destination. I once queued up and got to the airplane gate and was told I was at the wrong airline but they took me anyway since they were going that way! Men wore suits, ladies dressed-up, people were polite and service was so much better.
On a religious retreat at monastery during high school (Catholic) we each were assigned a simple room for over night. Each had a bed and a bathroom. We all collaborated to flush precisely at 12:00 midnight. That made a wonderful sound throughout the building.
Of course the rest of the time we were all deep into fervently praying…….
So true….just flip a con.
