Took a redeye from Phoenix to Chicago back in the 90’s on a DC10. There were literally 10 passengers on the plane. Had the whole coach section to myself….weird
“That’s how music has always been” I would tend to disagree with that. Especially when you take a long look at the music of the 60"s thru 80’s. In reality, there are only 12 individual notes in the musical scale. so undoubtably some songs will sound similar. “More Than a Feeling” by Boston, “Sweet Home Alabama” by Skynyrd and “Handle With Care” by the Traveling Wilburys all use the same chord progression and fingering (D,C,G) but sound completely different.
But the original poster who started this thread got it right, in the past 30 some years or so every song is either “poor me” or in hip hop and rap it’s “aint I great, don’t you wish you were me”. In the last century musicians could tell a complete story in 5 minutes or less, whether it was about love, relationships or social issues
His death provided the means, or opportunity to have sins forgiven. To take advantage of that opportunity requires repentance…which is turning away from a bad course and being determined to not repeat it
