I’ve been following this Russian expansionist policy for many years. Also, the output from Russia about it.

Either you are a troll trying to get attention, incredibly näive and believing the Russian propaganda, or in their employ.

relying on Hamas to verify the death figures is total madness.

Do you want the very long explanation of how and why those figures are accepted as accurate by NGOs, the UN, the USA and the Israeli government?

Or would you be OK doing a quick Google search and seeing for yourself how they are validated against Israeli id card records?

Have there been many deaths in the US college protests?

Yes, Norway and Sweden do that sort of thing too.

I’ve been trying to find the link to one programme I read about where they take anyone, no matter their addiction or condition and provide them with a home. For the most troubled, it is extremely basic, but it gives them somewhere secure to sleep and keep their stuff. Thrn there is an escalating support service to help people off drugs, alcohol, financial troubles and into education, training, jobs and ultimately their own home.

By having he people near the support services, they can get help and be helped much more easily, cheaply and effectively. One can progress up or down the scheme, but whatever happens, you have somewhere secure of your own.

I just wish I could remember what it is called! On trying to search for it, I keep coming across lots of other, similar schemes.

And for the people like Geezer who believes taxation is theft, and those people who equate socialist ideas with the work of the devil, these schemes cost less than doing nothing, cost less than poor intervention, result in less crime and result in less disruption for everyone else. So even the people who do not care about other people benefit too.

    Though Moses supposes erroneously,

Moses he knowses his toeses are noses,

Because of the pong of the poo and the pee!

No, I can’t work it out. Not even after reading the comments.

HUMAN BEINGS should be responsible for their own welfare.

So women should deliver their own babies?

Those with a broken leg should reset it themselves?

Those with appendicitis remove their own appendix?

When your car breaks down, fix it yourself at the roadside.

When you are robbed by identity theft, go after the thief and get your money back yourself.

When you get hit by lightning, re-start your own heart and do your own skin graft?

House on fire? Put it out then.

Got cancer? Diagnose it and cut it out yourself.

See Geezer lying in the street, injured, unconscious, bleeding? Leave a note on him saying “FFS, sort yourself out you lazy slob”.

Can you see anything wrong with your approach?

    Homeless, not indolent.

And taxpayers pay for services for all as it is how society works. Everyone contribute according to ability and the the total result is greater than the sum of its parts and everyone benefits.

Haven’t you and I been round this loop before – on that occasion about you complaining people being forced to pay for healthcare for others?

    You’re about halfway there.

Done that way you end up with ghettos, townships and slums.

In Europe they have shelters and hostels within the cities, so they have access to the facilities and resources they need to get back on their feet.

Finland is an extreme example whey they don’t muck about. Acknowledging that people need stability to sort out their issues, people are given very basic accommodation. They are charged rent, but are able to claim benefits as they now have an address. Services can be provided much more easily since you know where they are.

Having somewhere to call home makes it much easier to fix financial problems, drink problems, addictions and health issues. And the chance to get a job and then transition to one’s own home.

They have found this is cheaper than not helping people.

Grotesque? That was not intended to be pop, that was art. Done to get a reaction. And you are talking about it, so it worked.

Have you seen the official video for the song – makes a lot more sense than the Eurovision stage performance.
