No, as others have noted, pretty much anyone who is paying attention can project that he will claim victory, even if it’s obvious that he has lost. The difference is that when he does claim victory, Fox will support his claim.
I drove a Nova in high school and college. It had a 350 cubic inch V8 engine and it definitely “went”. It could outrun pretty much anything other than a sports car. On the downside, it was also a gas guzzler.
Unfortunately, we can’t afford to ignore him as long as there’s any chance he could get back in power. If only McConnell and co. had voted to convict him on that second impeachment….
People like MTG and Tuberville probably believe all the garbage they spew. People like Ted Cruz probably know they are full of it, but have no principles. But it doesn’t really matter which it is, as the harm they do is the same.
Of course, there’s also a subset of Republicans that knows that everything they say is BS, but since they are amoral and power-hungry, they aren’t bothered by that.
Yeah, or so he claimed, although even then a lot of his political views were closer to the Republicans. Of course the main reason he claimed to be a Democrat was for his own benefit, as the Democratic party dominated New York politics. And it’s irrelevant anyway, as the attributes that Trudeau mocked then are even more obvious now. Then or now, no one should vote for a person like that, regardless of what party banner he ran under.
Reminds me of Tom Tomorrow’s Invisible Hand of the Free Market Man. Too bad Tom Tomorrow isn’t on GoComics.
