Let me get this straight — Trump is on trial for a misdemeanor for which the statute of limitations has lapsed which was raised to a felony by means of an unindicted, unspecified related felony. Common sense be d****d, this has his show trial ala Stalinist Russia or Nazi Germany. At least he won’t be going to the gallows (as some would wish). Japan’s war on China and expansionist, militaristic actions in the Southwest Pacific, necessary in their eyes due to US strategic embargos, was basically to gain access to oil, and other necessities for their economy. The Pearl Harbor attack was to give them free reign in the Pacific and time to consolidate their conquests before the US could intervene. Pearl was the causus belli for our entry into WW II. US isolationism died with the first casualties at Pearl.
