    That job is taken.

    Sirius can project cuteness.

I say hello to all of the dogs I meet, and if the owner agrees, I will pet them, but I never pick them up.

I keep explaining that to my sister. She used to talk about her daughters’ output. She now has five grandchildren. I asked to hear about their art and sports projects instead.

It’s different with a dog. No human preteen would want his boom-booms mentioned in public!

and thank you for all of the wonderful information on how Therapy dogs are trained and recertified. I now have a story line that can repeat next year!

Shawm and Stella are therapy dogs. Sirius is an emotional support dog. Floof is a Library Cat. She gets her medallion tomorrow!

Once, we visited friends in Massachusetts. I was probably around five years old. We all walked in the woods near a small pond. A black dog ran up to us with a stick in its mouth. Dad threw the stick into the water. The dog swam out, got the stick, and came back. I threw the stick into the water. The dog did it again. I cried when we could not take the dog home with us. I’ve never forgotten that kind dog.

My father had a music student, an ex marine, named John Weirdo. My father was a diplomatic man. He asked the student “Is it pronounced the way it is spelled?” “Yes, Sir.” I can only imagine what it was like having a drill sergeant yelling WEIRDO in boot camp.
