They did…dumb laws like that are the result of a unicameral legislature. No check by seperate set of “brains”

If you didn’t see this coming from the time of we need more deregulation I believe you have had your head some place where the sun doesn’t shine.
I believe that when the S&L’s where bailed out some where saying that if there was not more oversight and regulation the next(this) crisis will be far worse.
Were they right? or an I just on the left!

DD: NE had a short lived law that allowed dumping of children No Questions Asked at hospitals etc. Hayseeds failed to put age limit in law. Desperate people drove from other states to dump teenagers, bad kids, sick kids…Took emergency session of legislature to cap at infant(30mo). It was in all the papers incl UK.

As usual OLDGONAD7 failed to mention that our Unicameral Legislature is 90% Republican, including what passes for a Governor. It is the Republicans that hold sway in NE, and pass these types of laws. We now have term limits that have killed the checks and balance legislature minority this last term..

Oh I know I even voted for one local ‘crat ‘cause ‘publicans stripped Bob Bloxom (R) of committee chair because he voted for his district. Kaine(D) stuck him in their eye, making him Ag/forestry secretary..LOL
