Screw the books, I want to see all the “LIES” in black and white. Building a LIEbrary for this nincompoop is like buying a sofa for a fish.

All that is probably located on the terror wing. Don’t forget the deregulation wing where he and the neocons took apart our economy and handed it over to wall street.

Though I do believe the hand sanitizer can only be found in the hysteria wing alongside bird, swine, and sars flu exhibits. Don’t forget to purchase your Tammiflu from the Donald Rumsfeld gift shop.

“how to Invalidate the Geneva Convention, section of the library.”

I guess when Obama sets up his library G.W. can just give him the blueprint. Let’s see, Obama has continued and expanded the Afghanistan war, expanded the patriot act, ramped up the drone program (made it local yet), kept Gitmo alive and thriving, and kept G.W.’s tax cuts in place. Maybe they could just share space!

Presidential Libraries appear to be operated, but not constructed with Federal tax funding: http://www.archives.gov/presidential-libraries/faqs/#8

How is a Presidential library paid for and funded?

A Presidential library is constructed with private or non-Federal funds donated to non-profit organizations established usually for the express purpose of building a Presidential library and supporting its programs. Some libraries have also received construction and development funding from state and/or local governments. The library is then transferred to the Federal government and operated and maintained by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) through its congressionally appropriated operating budget. Some staff and programs at Presidential libraries are paid for with funds from associated private foundations organized to fund the construction of the library and provide continuing support for library programs and special events, such as conferences and exhibitions.

Why the frown on Jimmy Carter? He usually has a great smile, and cartoonist of his day showed him with overlarge teeth.

Stephen Colbert’s take was priceless; “In May, the Bush Library is opening…but not the history section; they’re still re-writing it.”

“Congress complicated the possibility of GITMO closure.”

    1. From the N.Y.T. article “But he bungled the politics of the decision, and the administration had to abandon its plan in the face of fierce opposition from local pols and from Congressional Republicans out to portray Mr. Obama as soft on terrorism. His self-imposed one-year deadline for closing Guantánamo passed, along with the initial boldness and inspiration.” I would contend that with good presidential leadership and pressure he could have swayed public support and achieved his goal. Other presidents have performed much more difficult tasks . You can thank Holder for messing up a lot of that deal.2. He not only continued the Patriot Act he added to it in December of 2012. I wouldn’t blame Boston as his failure, considering that admittedly it had nothing to do with action under the Patriot Act.3. Obama has failed in leadership and controlling the direction of his party. He had many good ideas initially but lacked the personal resources to implement them. He’s a great speech maker, but that doesn’t sway enough people to pressure congress.

Return to the 50’s? I am ass deep in 21th century technology and lifestyle, plus I like most of the cultural changes that have taken place since then. FWIW, I am a Libertarian and am absolutely no fan of the republicans (and often the democrats) although I am left more “left” leaning in my feelings about social programs than most libertarians.

$500,000,000 for a library to hold a bunch of comic books and one book about a goat. Real fancy, George.

Thanks Morty, for your comment about Jimmy Carter; I couldn’t figure out who it was with the hammer.
