If Lucy lived today, she’d be one of those people who sit still, eyes glued to their little electronic buddy, and get social anxiety when expected to talk to real, live people.
Other things you could do with no TV in later years (today-2013)…Listen to CD’sListen to your iPodUse the internet But without a TV, you can’t watch videotapes and DVD’s and Blu-Ray’s.
I had to make a solemn vow last week to NOT discuss politics anymore! It changes me from a nice person into a raging tiger! But I so love when someone says it for me! Thank you!
We’ve all seen this before… Day 1 with no TV: the kids freak out and complain they have nothing to do; Day 7 with no TV: the kids are having a fun time without TV, and getting along just fine. It’s the same story with every family, more or less.
Remember a few days after September 11, 2001 there was nothing to watch on network TV for a few days because of non-stop 9/11 tragic event news coverage?
TV is an addiction; just as drugs, booze, and nicotine are addictions. The only thing that’s dying are the “happy cells” crying out, “WHERE’S MY HIGH?” But after a week or two, Lucy, you’ll start to calm down naturally; as your system learns to do without what you THOUGHT you needed.
