We had no fireplace. I guess that’s why my mother decided we didn’t need to believe the Santa story. Nowadays when three year olds are already playing games online, I wonder how any child can “believe” in Santa.
Christmas must cost Santa billions of dollars. He has to bring toys to every kid’s house, do it all in one night, and slide down all those chimneys though he’s a hefty fellow. Last I heard the elves were demanding an increase in wages and shorter working hours too. Poor Santa!
Hadn’t you heard?!!! Santa fired all the elves and shipped the whole operation to China. Don’t ask what happened to the reindeer. (Just overlook any specials announced by McDonalds over the next few weeks!)
