Between the time this comic was drawn and now, our local Walmart was built, ran about five years and is now closed and empty.

I’ve always detested Walmart.
I visited my family in Texas. There were no small grocery stores in their rural area. There was a Wal-Mart and a Piggly-Wiggly. I shopped at the Piggly-Wiggly; my brothers went to Wal-Mart two or three times a day.
