Having an opinion is okay. You can loathe the man and find him not-guilty. Definitely not innocent, but NOt-Guilty.
All that matters is whether someone can be open minded about the issue(s) at hand. Realistically, you won’t find a jury that hasn’t read about Trump’s troubles and formed some sort of opinion already.
trump will not do one day in prison. Not one minute. If he is not acquitted, he will receive a suspended sentence, if he is given jail time, he will, of course appeal it, and he will, of course, remain out of prison during the appeal.
trump is a white man, and a former president, with white people lining up to send him money to pay for lawyers to manipulate a system of justice that was designed and which exists to protect and accommodate people like trump with great bias in his favor.
The judge might give trump fine to pay which, minimal or huge, trump will also delay with appeals.
Not one minute of jail time for trump, no matter the outcome of this trial, or any of the unbelievable multitude of trials he’s facing, because in America, rich white people can “stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody”, and still be president.
That’s Natasha Fatale aiming her gun at bailiff Pizza Rat, with her husband Boris Badenov from Pottsylvania. Yes, they decided to get married after telling the Fearless Leader (you-know-who) they killed Rocky and Bullwinkle (another Big Lie).
With a jury like this, he’ll be able to sleep soundly through the entire trial. By the way, some suspect his dozing is because he’s been heavily medicated.
He indicated yesterday the trial would only be fair if he is acquited. More raw meat for the MAGAts if convicted. 57% of U.S. citizens (Yahoo polls) now say the crimes for which he’s on trial are serious, 73% say conspiring to overturn the 2020 election is serious, 69% say taking classified documents and conspiring to obstruct their retrieval is serious, and 69% say his attempts to obstruct the 2020 certification of the presidential election is serious.
This trial is so irrelevant. Yeah, he’s probably guilty, but he is 77. And, he is guilty without any reasonable doubt ( we all watched it live on TV and heard the video tapes) of so many crimes that would get him more years than he has left. The only value of this trial is that he will be locked up when he goes to trial on the more important crimes, so he can’t fly off to a country with no an extradition treaty with the USA. I could actually be impartial on this jury, because I really really don’t give a flying @#$#%.
It should be noted (though I truly don’t know why I bother) that the “Kool-Aid” trope is incorrect - it refers to the supposed way that Jim Jones killed all his devoted followers in Jonestown, Guyana- The powdered drink that was used was FLAVOR-AID, not Kool-Aid.
I still care about correct facts, even if no one else does, and YES, I know it’s JUST a cartoon – but still…

Should members of juries be biased? Of course not, don’t be insane. But for Traitor Trump jurors, insanity is normal.

Would a jury of rank and file mobsters convict their MAGA crime boss? We’ve seen the answer to that in the Senate, in two impeachments.

That isn’t a “fair” jury, it’s a jury of his peers.

Good toon, for it does prove the concern that Trump will not get a fair trial based on jury selections in New York.

Was Trump really sleeping? Or just showing his contempt for the proceedings? I wouldn’t put that past him. The MAGAs probably think it is funny.
