I’ve been bringing up practicing medicine without a license since day one. No one seems to think it’s an issue. I think it’s illegal – more so when the mother dies and voluntary manslaughter is involved.
Here’s the problem: in Texas the legislator who wrote the law said that doctors already have discretion in cases of maternal peril. But their lawyers tell them that the laws are vague (deliberately, no doubt, these guys aren’t dumb) enough that a prosecutor COULD run with charges if they think they crossed a line. And when a woman ASKED for court review and the court said yes, the criminal top prosecutor said he’d jail the doctor and anyone else involved. So much for discretion. And if a woman hasn’t died from complications in this game of chicken, one will soon enough.
The Idaho people actually said the Biden admin was trying to require abortions. Even they have to know that’s nonsense.
The court decision had nothing to do with medicine, just law and for the ppl that idolized Ruth cant believe none of you listen to her what she thought about that decision (on constitutional grounds ) even if she supported it .

The abortion issue isn’t even about abortion. The real point is that if they can take away a right that has been in place for over fifty years, what rights are they coming after next?
Conservatives are the ones who want to dictate total control over private relationships (dictate who you can or can’t marry or even what behavior is allowed behind closed doors), private medical choices (reproductive choices such as abortion, IVF or contraception, medical or recreational marijuana, end of life choices, stem cell therapies, gender-identity care), tell us what books we or our children can have access to, or try to force PRIVATE religion into PUBLIC policy and religious rituals into public meetings or subsidize it with special tax advantages (socialized religion).
Subjugating an entire gender begins with taking ownership of their uterus and forcing compliance with the threat of prison sentences. Tell me where I’m wrong.
This “court” is a product of ONE Senator from one of the most backward states in the union – Mitch McConnell. It’s a thoroughly politicized house of prostitution..
